So i downloaded the smsfancontrol and i change my fan speed depending on what application i 'm running and how many at a time... i set my default as 1900-2000.. and i often change it to around 2800 ... and my question is.. Is changing this sort of often will hurt the fan? or should i just leave it high or low?.. thanks ^__^Is it bad to change the fan speed of macbook pro often? (using the smcfancontrol)?
It won't damage it, but it's completely unnecessary. Your MBP will adjust the fan speed automatically. Those fan control apps are just for the paranoid.Is it bad to change the fan speed of macbook pro often? (using the smcfancontrol)?
as long as it is not Real often...or is ran at Max speed..you should be fine..its made to rev up and down to begin with..:)
