How do you control speed of case fans?

I have a full tower computer case with 3 fans. I can plug them into the motherboard directly, or the wires that are connected to my power supply unit. Does it matter where I plug them into to control the speed of the fans? How do I change the fan speed? How do you control speed of case fans?
if you can plug them all into the mobo directly, then do that. They will draw power from there and can be configured (most likely) through the bios. If you don't like the settings in there, then download and install speedfan. It is a free app that monitors fan speeds and temps and will allow you much more flexibilty on fan speed control. How do you control speed of case fans?
if u wanna change the fan speed they must be connected to your motherboard BUT u can only controll ur fan speeds if the connecting between ur fan and mothernboard has 4 pins
