Physics momentum question ..basic..help!?

Please help me on my hw. as much as you can



When an apple falls from a tre and strikes the ground without bouncing, what becomes of its momentum?



A fully dressed person is at rest in the midle of a pond on perfectly frictionless ice and must get to shore. How is this accomplishe?

The person on the ice can take their clothes off a little at a time and throw it in the opposite direction that they want to travel. Conservation of momentum will push them in the opposite direction.



The law of conservation of momentum is not violated by a ball rolling down a hill because the momentum increases due to the application of force by gravity. Change in impulse equals change in momentum



The momentum of the car will change very little compared to that of the bug. It will actually increase because it now includes the mass of the splattered bug. The total of the two will still be the same.



The astronauts game will not last long. Once the first throws the second, he will begin traveling in the opposite direction with nothing to get him back.
