For females only: why has my period stopped after ive started college?

Hello everyone :]

i just have a personal menstrual question. 3 months after i started college, my period has stopped its regular cycle. this has never happened to be before. i haven't gotten it since october of last year. just for reference, there's no way i can be pregnant since i am a virgin. i talked to the nurse, who told me that a change of diet, exercise and stress in college can be factors and that it should return once i leave for christmas break and am stress free.

the problem is it has not come back and ive been home for a month now. i have two cousins who went through the same thing and it returned to normal for them after a month but i find it odd that it has been 3 months since my last period.

what i would like to know is if this has happened to anyone else and how and when it came back for you. my mom is freaking out thinking there's something wrong with me and that i should go to the doctor to take some pills or something to bring it back. i do not like that idea since i am not a huge fan of taking pills or medicines to %26quot;speed%26quot; up anything.

thanks! For females only: why has my period stopped after ive started college?
Most women will stop menstruating if their body fat percentage drops below 8 to 10 percent. If you've lost weight and your body fat has all but disappeared, there's your explanation.

But why worry about losing something that most women find troublesome and annoying? If you're not having periods for awhile just enjoy the peace. They'll return when you gain a little fat tissue. For females only: why has my period stopped after ive started college?
There are easier ways to reduce weight other than diet and exercising. You can use a diet supplement which rinses out the pipes, you will reduce as much as twenty lbs like this - plus the weight reduces in the desired places too! I agree with the other post about body weight and fat. But along with that you should see an ob-gyn to test your hormone levels and to insure that you are not have any other major issues.
